1. What is the difference between investing in a student room per unit and participating in a project?

With a room per unit, you buy direct ownership of one specific student room. When participating in a project, you buy a share in the entirety of a project. Both formulas can be combined: this way you diversify your portfolio with both shares and direct real estate.

In the past, we sold Upkot student rooms per unit. Occasionally, rooms become available for sale in these projects, so keep an eye on our offer.

2. What are the advantages of buying a room per unit?
  • Diversify your portfolio: The combination of shares and direct real estate offers extra stability and an even broader spread of your risks.
  • Immediate income: The rooms are already rented out.
  • Direct ownership: You are the owner of one specific room.
  • Worry-free investing: Just like with a participation, we take care of the entire rental and management process.
  • Tax-efficient for companies: The costs related to acquiring, owning and managing real estate, such as registration and notary fees, depreciation, maintenance and interest on loans, are tax-deductible in a company, which can lead to a lower taxable profit.
3. Are the rooms per unit already rented out?

Yes. The student rooms we offer are already rented out.

4. How does the purchase of a student room per unit work?

You can purchase the student room in full ownership. Each month, you receive the rental income directly into your account. We provide rental, management and maintenance for the entire building. This way, we take all the inconveniences of a traditional real estate investment off your hands.
