Always innovating

As an innovative company, we strive to stay up to date with the latest technologies and innovations. Nele and Koenraad use Upgrade Technology to challenge all our employees to contribute ideas and innovative projects. Various departments have already come up with numerous initiatives, including one from our Upsize construction department.

A few months ago, some Upsizers joined forces to optimise the drawing, development, and follow-up of our latest projects. As a result, using Building Information Modeling (BIM) in Revit and virtual reality, our new projects have been taken to the next level! 

One of these is our latest project Bro Upkot, a student high-rise with no less than 18 floors, which was drawn entirely by Kenny in a 3D BIM model. By drawing the internal structure, the techniques, and the structure of the building, we can identify any overlaps or problems even before the start of construction. It is also possible to take a virtual walk through the building. 

Architect at Work 2019

We decided to enter the 3D BIM model of Bro Upkot in the ‘BIM construction data extraction‘ competition at the Architect at Work fair in Kortrijk. The organisers of this competition are C3A, the company behind the Autodesk Revit software. Architect at Work is a biennial event for architects and interior designers that focuses mainly on product innovations.

It was the visitors to the Architect at Work fair who selected the winning entry from the twelve nominees: ours!

 

We are very proud of what we have achieved as a team and as a company. For us, such recognition is the icing on the cake.
