In Wing Upkot, the Look & Feel team let the walls speak, gave the corridors propellers and tried to give students a push towards a better future with every detail.
"To fly towards a better world, you need wings" became the mantra that encompasses everything in this new Upkot project. Various wings can be found throughout the building in shapes, colours, constructions, games, furniture and experiences. Not just to look at, but to use effectively. At Wing Upkot, you will discover the wings that young people need to face a positive future.
Five colours were used throughout the building, one for each floor. Together, they refer to the colours of the rainbow, which symbolises inclusivity, diversity and freedom.
Furthermore, great value was attached to the use of second-hand materials, with second-hand coffee tables in the kitchens, community images in the lift, a wall with activist pamphlets, chalk boxes and much more.
Today, only sustainable building projects can be justified. In fact, we are taking a serious leap in developing and applying green techniques in our buildings. Curious about the techniques in Wing Upkot?
